Tagaytay is a town and also a tourist spot because of its preserved nature even in midst of modernization. It is known for its cold weather and viewpoint area for Taal Volcano. Taal Volcano is one of the fascinating tourist spot in the Philippines, which is also known as "Bulkang Taal" by locals. The volcano is situated at the center of the lake which is also called as Taal Lake, the third largest lake in the Philippines. There are several viewpoints of "Bulkang Taal" within Tagaytay, which is a town and also a tourist spot because of its cold weather. The viewpoints are provided by hotels, restaurants, and some picnic areas.



For family and group of friends tour, it is good to be in Picnic Grove that offers an affordable rate for access to viewpoint, picnic shed, and activities area. It is a huge area that it can accommodate a lot of tourists in which it has stores for clothing, spa, restaurants, stalls for different activities, and area for picture taking and sightseeing.




Aside of the beautiful view of Taal, there are also several activities available within the area. Trekking to the crater of the volcano is also available which rate ranges from 800php to 2000php per person that includes land transfer, tourist boat, and some access and environment related fees. Hike is around 2.0 km to the crater and the difficulty level is easy.


How to get there: 

Ride a public bus from Manila (within Roxas Boulevard or Edsa) bound for Nasugbu, Batangas or Alfonso. Inform the conductor or driver to drop you off at Picnic Grove or Olivarez. 
Rate is around 80 to 160php
